Advertisement Posted November 9, 2009 Posted November 9, 2009 Hi abrewer, Take a look here Happy 3rd Birthday "I Love my MP" Thread!. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
MPJMP Posted November 9, 2009 Share #2 Posted November 9, 2009 Man, has it really been three years?! I've been meaning to take a nice portrait of my chrome MP and post it there ever since that thread was created. This is embarrasing. I'd better get off my duff before the 4th anniversary rolls around.
peterv Posted November 11, 2009 Share #3 Posted November 11, 2009 Allan, you're a moderator, this I Love my MP thread should have been permanently closed long ago. It has caused so much hardship for so many forum members and innocent men and women who just passed by, maybe came to this seductive thread via Google or some other search engine. Unaware of the dangers they were about to encounter. Not knowing that soon they would have to yield to an overwhelming desire to be the owner of this little machine. Shouldn't we have pity on future visitors of our beloved forum, and prevent them from falling into the same trap that has victimised so many of us already? Hasn't there been enough suffering? Marriages broken, bank accounts ruined? Let's draw a line right here, and put an end to this shameless plug of the most mechanically perfect camera ever! Kind regards, Peter

thomasw_ Posted November 14, 2009 Share #6 Posted November 14, 2009 Being the first to respond to that venerable MP thread puts a certain glow on my heart. I still have my 2 MP 0.85x bodies; in fact they are the only M bodies I currently own -- as long as there is film/chemistry available I will use my MPs, they are smashing tools. Admittedly I do have fond memories of my M3, M2 and M5 though. But none of the other Ms has ever earned my affection as much as my MPs. I hope that thread will continue for quite some time. I should make more of a commitment to post a MP shot every 6 mons or so....but life has a way of.....
