c6gowin Posted November 28, 2006 Share #1 Posted November 28, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) The Leica 90/f2 AA is much more versatile than I expected. I picked it up for portrait shots, but it is good for much more. Below is one of my first shots with the 90. I know it is a bit in your face (pun intended), but I wanted to see the framing at the closest focusing distance. Shot at f2 with focus point on left eye. crop of the left eye is included. The subject is a family member who was kind enough to pose for me on Thanksgiving. Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Hi c6gowin, Take a look here Leica 90/f2 AA Versatility. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
c6gowin Posted November 28, 2006 Author Share #2 Posted November 28, 2006 Here are a couple landscape shots taken with the 90. I sometimes like to use longer lenses for landscapes to compress the image. This worked pretty well on the shot of the stream. The stream was in deep shadows and the colors on the water are reflections from the nearby sunny mountainside of fallen leaves. Welcome, dear visitor! c6gowin Posted November 28, 2006 Author Share #4 Posted November 28, 2006 Last ones. The first of this buch was shot at f2 with the focus point on the word "wagon". Although not the best, I just had to include one wildlife shot. It is funny that I used the M8/ 90 combo for deer photo, becuase I had a Canon 5D mounted to a 500/f4 IS in my vehicle which I would have normally used. Welcome, dear visitor! ho_co Posted November 28, 2006 Share #5 Posted November 28, 2006 Mark-- Striking images! Is that a pet deer that you drive around for lens testing? Very nice pictures. Thanks for posting them.
c6gowin Posted November 28, 2006 Author Share #6 Posted November 28, 2006 Howard, thank you for the kind comments. The deer was small and appeared to be young (probably born this past spring. He/she is wild, but seemed curious about me and not much fear.
malcolm Posted November 28, 2006 Share #7 Posted November 28, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Howard, One of the most informative & useful posts recently on the Digital Forum. And it contains images! Fine work. I especially like the color harmony of the rusted [full] truck and autumn foliage.
