I would like to know why the self timer has just 2 and 12 seconds options. Should be not too difficult to put more options with a new firmware. marknorton Posted October 28, 2009 Share #2 Posted October 28, 2009 The normal reasoning is that you use the long setting for normal self-timer release and the two second setting for exposures when the camera is tripod mounted, the theory being that any vibration induced by pressing the shutter has subsided within that time.
