It zig-zags and spirals across numerous viaducts and countless tunnels. The result is that it takes about 10km to cover the same distance as is 5km by road. However, in winter the road becomes a toboggan run and everfyone goes by train. In September it was blisteringly hot...

Believe it or not, it really *did* look like that - this was shot with the DMR in 'standard' colour mode and hasn't been enhanced. Much of the south-east of Switzerland (the Graubunden) looks like this. :) I may offer it to the travel company I use for their next brochure.. Morten Grathe Posted November 28, 2006 Share #4 Posted November 28, 2006 Nice shot, but the greens are a bit yellowish in my opinion.
jlancasterd Posted November 28, 2006 Author Share #5 Posted November 28, 2006 Nice shot, but the greens are a bit yellowish in my opinion. Is this better? The usual problem with open scenes like this at high altitude (This part of the Albula Pass is at about 1,700 metres - 5,600 feet) is excess blue. leicamann Posted November 29, 2006 Share #7 Posted November 29, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Nice shot. The yellow cast was an initial problem with the "opening "software of the DMR...most people have been able to get past this since the firmware upgrade. May I suggest you look at this... if I can find the old threads that talk about this I'll post them. Thanks for sharing Regards, Leicamann
