jimbo035 Posted October 22, 2009 Share #1 Posted October 22, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) A "Leitz Wetzlar" tie came into my possession about 30 years ago; went missing then turned up unexpectedly after we moved home last year. I had an M6 at the time, but foolishly sold it, and circumstances being what they are finally replaced it with a D-Lux 4 - which I must admit came in handy for taking the accompanying "detail" photo of said tie The makers' label reads as follows : "T.R.Blurton & Co Ltd, 93/94 Chancery Lane, London WC2A 1DT" I suppose the Ties were commissioned by the Leitz (London) people, but who were they given to I wonder ? PS Now that I have a Leicaflex SL bearing the name "Leitz Wetzlar" as well, I suppose I might start wearing the tie

earleygallery Posted October 22, 2009 Share #2 Posted October 22, 2009 I also have a Leica tie, pale blue with the word Leica embroidered in rows to appear as thin stripes. It was given to me with my then new R3. They were just promotional items to be given to dealers, customers etc.

It was given to me by a friend that bought it for me from another person, so I can`t say if it was a gift from Leica or not.
