smoody Posted October 21, 2009 Share #1 Posted October 21, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) with some fall colors thrown in....New York City style. :-) I'm posting a full-sized shot since you don't see many on the forum and I know people are curious about resolution, specific lens configurations, etc. It's not art and I did do some post-processing, including some sharpening. http://10101010.net/m9zeiss.jpg note: it's not displaying in safari on my machine (I have A LOT of safari windows open with a lot of tabs in each window), but it does display in Firefox just fine. smb Posted October 24, 2009 Share #5 Posted October 24, 2009 Thank you for posting. I was wondering about the 50mm Sonnar. What comparable lens setting did you use?
microview Posted October 24, 2009 Share #6 Posted October 24, 2009 Sends slight quiver to abdomen so I guess it's a great shot!
Kittyphoto Posted October 26, 2009 Share #7 Posted October 26, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Nice angle! Great shots! Did you pull your camera out of the building to take this shot? How do you process this file? I notice there is magenta cast in shadow all over the pictures?
viramati Posted October 26, 2009 Share #8 Posted October 26, 2009 I must say I can't see that this really shows much for the M9 resolution. Now not that I can replicate the shot but I do use the Zeiss 50/1.4 on my nikon D700 and would reckon that I could easily get a shot with similar resolution. Maybe I'm missing the point
Kittyphoto Posted October 26, 2009 Share #9 Posted October 26, 2009 Try to add unsharp mask on M9 file. You will see the resolution difference between M9 and D700. And M9 files look more popup than D700 too.
