Indecisive Posted October 21, 2009 Share #1 Posted October 21, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) It seems to be a pretty nice camera, and like a Porsche Boxster might allow more people into the brand?
Advertisement Posted October 21, 2009 Posted October 21, 2009 Hi Indecisive, Take a look here Should they have made a Leica version of the GF1?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
earleygallery Posted October 21, 2009 Share #2 Posted October 21, 2009 If you like it why don't you just buy the GF1?
Indecisive Posted October 21, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted October 21, 2009 If you like it why don't you just buy the GF1? It hasn't got a Leica logo on it
earleygallery Posted October 21, 2009 Share #4 Posted October 21, 2009 Most people seem to want to tape over their logo when they finally get one! You can always buy a red dot and stick it on the GF1. The X1 is going to be the next Leica Porsche Boxster.

aesop Posted October 21, 2009 Share #6 Posted October 21, 2009 ...and don't forget you get to use your M lenses on the GF1 as well. Should be a no-brainer, really.
ismon Posted October 21, 2009 Share #7 Posted October 21, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) The Boxter is a 550 Wannabe. Leica should make a digital Model C, simple, and requiring an endless number if accessories to feed our addiction back to the future.
rob_x2004 Posted October 21, 2009 Share #8 Posted October 21, 2009 Definitly not. Without an EVF and AF lenses its a waste of space and just a short term toy. Someone might know more about it than me, but when I looked at the GF it also seemed and was reported to be just a compromised GH from features to sensor for the sake of aesthetics. Ps ... Heres one for the car guys, what was it Jeremy Clarkson said? "Owning a Leica is like owning an Alfa. Everyone who loves photography has to have one but it definitly going to let you down"
adan Posted October 22, 2009 Share #9 Posted October 22, 2009 I prefer the GH-1: better finder solution, more flexible sensor (maintains FoV when changing aspect ratios instead of just cropping off pixels), nice video. I rather hoped Leica might go for their own version when they trademarked "Cine-Leica" last spring. Top Gear quotations on the Leica Forum - I guess it was only a matter of time...
