lars_bergquist Posted October 17, 2009 Share #1 Posted October 17, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) On next Sunday Oct. 25 two 3-element Elmars in M39 fit will be auctioned in Stockholm. These come from the lot of 41 (?) lenses purchased in 1962 for the Swedish Army, are seemingly unused, with cases and plexi cans, and have consecutive serial numbers! Does anybody have an idea about what the lot of two might fetch? Two other interesting items are a 1975 Noctilux in near-mint shape, and a (Canadian) 1980 75mm Summilux, also near mint. There is also a fine Nikon SP with the 1.4 5cm lens. The old man from the Age of It All

luigi bertolotti Posted October 17, 2009 Share #2 Posted October 17, 2009 lpfoto.se, I suppose... well the base price is really good: 3 elements Elmars in screw mount are indeed scarce, and a couple in consecutive numbers is fine: if you look at the prices of the M version, which is more common, easy to say that a price around 1000 Euro for ONE screw mount item wouldn't be exaggerate. Do you think to attend ? The catalog is very tasty... BTW Elmar 90 3 elements is in my opinion one of the best 90 ever made... I like a lot to use mine onto M8, and is MY lens for Macro with Visoflex. The question of "Swedish Army" I think that in this case is not a significant add-on ... they don't bear the "3 crown" symbol that was engraved on other items...
