Welcome to the forum, Cleere. Thanks for the input and it's great to have another hasselblad user to provide some perspective.

Out of curiosity, is your Hasselblad used mainly for your online business?

The reason for asking is that I'm convinced that small business owners with a web presence are going to be a growing market for professional photography gear in the coming decades. This segment is often overlooked by the major industry publications etc. Maybe manufacturers of photography equipment should start paying more attention to the online small business owners. These business owners might not necessarily be professional photographers by trade, but they still require a professional level of photography to be done in-house to advertise and document their products and services. There is a lot of potential to sell them good cameras and lights.

I've read the BJP report and was surprised at BJP's remark that insinuated something is amiss. That is out of character for BJP as they are normally fairly restrained. I also thought Hasselblad's Chriastian Poulsen's comments about a ghost product being something he might live to regret.

Or maybe not!

Quote from Luminous Landscape today:

UPDATE – 10:30am EST

It was announced today that Christian Poulsen has decided to resign from his position as CEO of Hasselblad. Chairman of the Board, Dr. Larry Hansen will now also serve as Chief Executive Officer.

This follows the recent replacement of Hasselblad USA's President Jack Showalter by Tom Olesen.

I have no editorial stance on these announcements at the moment, but one has to wonder as to the nature of the changes taking place within Hasselblad and their underlaying motivations.

Well, one can easily guess the reason behind this resignation: when you claim that the S2 is a fantastic product but still a ghost, then when the camera will not be a ghost anymore its gonna simply be a fantastic one :p And I doubt this guy had ever spoken for Hasselblad like that... It is a bit contradictory: working for hasselblad and calling S2 fantastic :p If I was Leica, I would have added this comment to the S2 page
