JHAG Posted October 13, 2009 Share #1 Posted October 13, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) After testing the G1 with 14-45 lens and adapter for R lenses, I'm rather underwhelmed. I did not send enough time with it, but it has two major drawbacks : Ergonomy - it's too small and too light in hands, making composition somewhat clumsy (I have large hands and need weight to balance with) - I miss some controls and menu is a bit annoying (for me) PP - files seems to need a lot of postprocessing to get some usable results ; RAW right out of sensor are somewhat flat and dull, if sharp enough - I know some here dit get really nice results with a GH1, but I get much better files out of the box with my D2. So what's the point ? I returned it. Still, the GF1 is tempting, as a pocketable camera. And what else, for R lenses ?
