bradhusick Posted November 15, 2009 Share #61  Posted November 15, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I received my new M9 today and discovered the dead line problem. My dealer is attempting to resolve the problem with Leica.  Here's what the defect looks like. It's near the center of the frame. It happens at many ISO levels.  I am disappointed with Leica QC to say the least. Welcome, dear visitor! AndersH Posted November 18, 2009 Share #63  Posted November 18, 2009 Hi  I've been an inactive member of this forum for quite some time and am posting for the first time. Just a shame that it would have to be in this thread. I recieved my M9 a week and a half ago coming back from Kabul where I also lost the best part of my M8 equipment in august to some pretty innovative thiefs. HAd to cover the first round of elections with one M8 and a 28 Elmarit as only equipment. Interesting experience. I have used my M9 on easier assignments, newspaper portraits and such, why I haven't noticed the vertical white line until today. It's on pretty much all my photos no matter what ISO. So it seems like I will be going back to my dealer first thing tomorrow. Pisses me off quite a bit since I had to replace my first M8 aswell.  Best  Anders

sydkugelmass Posted January 4, 2012 Share #65 Â Posted January 4, 2012 Seems to be a diffused problem. I noticed this just after updating to latest 1.176 fw level. Â Â Â CCD substitution on the way?
