My first Leica R series camera. I picked this up the other day and am very excited to use it! I sent it to DAG camera repair and it should be in my hands next week! Don is doing a complete overhaul on the camera, plus modifying the metering system to accept a modern battery. What can you tell me about this camera?

Hi there, my name is Wim, I’m from the Netherlands and I am new on this forum. I came here because i bought a Old black leica camera in a thriftstore. I got curious about the name of the model, if i can make it work, it’s value, and if i could clean and (if needed) repair it myself or if its better to bring it to an expert. I already did some research on the forum but i couldnt find my exact model and lens. Here are some pictures. I hope you can help me out with some info!

Good morning everyone! I'm having a problem with my M7, on my last trip in Morocco I’ve took some photos on Porta 400 with good results, except for a darker band on the left side of some frame and some vignettes on the corners. I'm more concerned about the band at the moment. Have you already had a problem like that? in my opinion could be the shutter but the problem seems to appear just when I shoot colour film. I’m kind of scared about a serious problem view the amount of electronic parts in the M7.
