pop Posted October 31, 2010 Share #1 Posted October 31, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) With humble apologies to Ray Bradbury. This small series shows some views of the reputedly tallest transportable Ferris Wheel at the 540th issue of the Basel Fall Fair. It takes nearly two weeks to erect and is about 60m tall. All taken with the DMC-LC1. All but #4 show the full frame as taken. There also are two shots taken from the Wheel in this thread: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/sports-leisure-time/148760-above-all.html Thank you for looking and - if you're so minded - for your comments. pop Posted November 2, 2010 Author Share #4 Posted November 2, 2010 Paul and Dave - thank you so much for commenting. Greatly appreciated. Yes, Dave, that's the reason the assembly takes nearly two weeks. As I'm told, much of that time is taken by inspections. The Wheel has been erected for several years now, and it has never failed. There have been one or two days when it was not run, on account of the wind.
