richam Posted March 8, 2007 Share #2 Posted March 8, 2007 Wow! Just the right moment and perfect composition with shallow DOF. May have to consider a Nocti myself. Well done.

garyp Posted March 8, 2007 Share #4 Posted March 8, 2007 Another great example of not needing auto-everything/mega teles to shoot sports !!!
mmcom25 Posted March 8, 2007 Share #5 Posted March 8, 2007 extraordinarily good
robsteve Posted March 8, 2007 Share #6 Posted March 8, 2007 Brad: When you get it sharp, the Noctilux can look like you shot with a big 400mm f2.8. Too bad you didn't get the face.

Artichoke Posted March 11, 2007 Share #9 Posted March 11, 2007 magnificent photograph, perfectly timed & focused amazingly sharp with well isolated subject however did you get so close? I live in Houston & have been going a good deal to the show, but have not attended the actual rodeo as I understand it is near impossible to get near enough to shoot without using a 200 mm lens or greater yours is a truly outstanding photograph my admiration & congrats
bradreiman Posted March 14, 2007 Author Share #10 Posted March 14, 2007 thanks everyone for the comments. arthur-i enjoyed your hlsr shots as well. especially the carnival with the gray sky. trying to shoot the pig races today if it stops raining. got my rodeo shots from outside the ring. im working at the rodeo and sneak some shots every once in a while. helps to have a little old leica. the guys with those massive lenses havent even noticed me...b
