Advertisement Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 Hi NB23, Take a look here 21mm summilux shots. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
hoppyman Posted July 12, 2009 Share #2 Posted July 12, 2009 Nice! Great use of the depth and tone and you've avoided the apparent wide angle perspective too. Good job. A couple of test frames from the Hessenpark meeting here where the lens was on loan from the nice Akadamie folks. Summilux 21 does houses, stopped down Beer Cafe by Summilux 21, stopped down a little Summilux 21 at 1.4. Focus on nearest light (left side of table) Others in the gallery too if you'd like to browse. Got the lens and thought of posting my images from it right here. I noticed images from the 21 lux are very hard to find on the net.

NB23 Posted July 12, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted July 12, 2009 Thanks And thanks for the links. I still don't know how this lens performs. I got it before leaving for Europe and only now I have developed the films. I'm looking forward to printing many images from this lens in the darkroom, the only place where a lens' performance reveals itself totally. I can already say the lens doesn't control distortion as I'd like. But on the opposite side, sharpness and contrast are excellent. All in all, I'm looking forward to work this lens thoroughly and bring out its unique traits, a thing possible only with Leica lenses.

tomasis7 Posted July 15, 2009 Share #17 Posted July 15, 2009 hey nb23 thanks for posting pics darn.. now summilux 21mm .. it would get well with your noctilux I like your pics.. the contrast doesnt seem too high .. how you find contrast on m8? That Lux look somewhat reminds me of old 35/50lux but more corrected of course. Bokeh is typical for leica, smooth .. what I've seen so far..
kemal_mumcu Posted July 15, 2009 Share #18 Posted July 15, 2009 Seeing this stuff with the 21 lux makes me feel unworthy to even look at one. Brilliant shots. The second shot with the stairway and the pram is well seen, so is the wedding one Riccis. I've always appreciated your work with the 21 Nenad and I'm happy to hear you got the 21lux. Look forward to seeing more in the future.
