dierk Posted July 6, 2014 Share #1 Posted July 6, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Huge problems with my M9 sorry, my first post was in German for the German forum and the title is still in German. Mod, could you please change the title? a few words for explanation. I got the M9 in 12/2009. The camera was not in use since 11/2013, without battery, as I used the battery for the MM often. here is one of the test images, a crop with more contrast click for larger image and this is an image of the sensor: dierk

dierk Posted July 6, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted July 6, 2014 Yes, it has been reported before. Leica will replace the sensor. thanks for changing the title and thanks for the good news. I hope, Leica has the same opinion on it Besides the sensor problem the camera stopped several times today with the red LED for the chip on, never happened before. I had to take the battery out and back in.
k-hawinkler Posted July 6, 2014 Share #4 Posted July 6, 2014 Dierk, Jaap is correct. Your sensor is disintegrating and needs to be replaced. If you search the forum there are several similar occurences already documented. Good luck with the repair.
