Advertisement Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 Hi mby, Take a look here Adobe DNG Converter 5.6 Release Candidate for Mac available. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
adan Posted November 19, 2009 Share #2 Posted November 19, 2009 Whoops - be aware that that link automatically starts the download and install! Probably better to link to an info page where people can check it out before actually writing code on their machines. I checked earlier today to see if ACR 5.6 was out yet - I guess it will follow shortly (It did). EDIT: Here's a link to the page announcing ACR and DNG Converter 5.6, with M9 support, where you can download or not as you please: http://labs.adobe.com/
Ario Arioldi Posted November 19, 2009 Share #3 Posted November 19, 2009 They are still Release Candidate, nothing wrong but just to explain why they are on the Adole Labs site only. BTW also LR 2.6 RC is available. Cheers, Ario

Cheers, Ario Has anyone checked to see if the 2.6 RC contains a profile for the M9. I have been using V3.0 Beta which does have an M9 profile but there are quite a few non-operational items. I am hoping (probably in vain) that my unused M9 code will give me V3.0 when it comes out fully. Wilson
Ario Arioldi Posted November 19, 2009 Share #5 Posted November 19, 2009 Yes the specific M9 profile is there but if you have already installed LR3 you should be able to see the M9 profile also in LR 2.5. Cheers, Ario
mboerma Posted November 19, 2009 Share #6 Posted November 19, 2009 But I was hoping for a "Camera Default" profile, not an "Adobe Default" profile, for the M9. These are two different things, as you can see when choosing a file from for example an M8.
Ario Arioldi Posted November 19, 2009 Share #7 Posted November 19, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) To the best of my knowledge the Camera Default for M8 was done in an attempt to emulate the color rendition of C1, which was the M8 "official" Raw Converter; with M9 this is not the case anymore. If I select an Nikon D700 file I get a whole list of profiles one of them being Adobe Standard and the others "Camera xxxxx" profiles. I hoped to find those last ones. I tried V3 Beta and immediately liked it better. I therefore have decided to wait on exercising my M9 LR code in the hope that it might, maybe, just work to give me LR3, when the definitive version comes out. If not I would, I assume, get V2.6 and immediately upgrade to V3. Wilson PS Aperture users have been unusually quiet since the M9 came out. How does it work? Are people waiting for Version 3, which should also be due soon. W
alexc Posted November 19, 2009 Share #10 Posted November 19, 2009 I downloaded ACR 5.6, but in camera calibration section see only Embedded and Adobe Standard profiles. How do I choose M9 profile which is now included according to DPR?

How do I choose M9 profile which is now included according to DPR? When you open a file you will see only the profiles available for the camera which has been used to generate that file. The Adobe Standard you have seen is the one specific for M9. Cheers, Ario
