luigi bertolotti Posted February 10, 2009 Share #1 Posted February 10, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I received a PM asking me how to use the DIREKT, a very old pneumo-hydraulic selftimer, made by a 3rd party ("Dr. C. Weber - Germany"), but sold by Leitz in the '30s, before they made the mechanical-clockwok APDOO. I answered the PM, but didn't realize how to add pics on a PM... so, in case someone else could be interested, I attach here a pair of pics of its original box... a little damaged, but with the instructions (in German, of course) rather well readable (quick pics made with M8 and DR Summicron, freehand at 2500 ASA... even not so bad... ) I can't read German... I know how to use it (mine is still functional, even if the delay time is significantly longer than the original 30 or 60 sec), but if someone likes to post a translation... The upper rest results in a time of 60 seconds, the lower 30 seconds. Then screw the selftimer on the already adjusted camera. The beginning of the release is introduced by small clockwise rotation of the rod inner slider...
