Cliffs of Etretat - Normandie (France) ..... in bad weather

You've all seen the pictures of the new M with Jean Gaumy, I present you some pictures of this magic and wonderful place !

..... really bad weather with the wind gusts, rain

the tide rises very quickly

Your servant nearly drowned in the water with his camera.

So be kind and indulgent :D

Thank you Stuart and Paul.

Here's another photo of the famous cliff where the painter impressionist Claude Monet painted.

The cliff is 100 meters high and you can see the famous arch

....always in bad weather and mist just appear

Color or b&w for Ingrid ?

Lovley Doc, brings back memories for me - glad you are all right BTW!

I was lucky when there, a fine evening - but did not have a Leica with me - only a Canon G6 - so will not post.

Regards

Henry, this is a very beautiful location!

In your first picture I find the rock in the upper right a bit distracting, to me it takes to much attention away from the otherwise lovely location.

The second Image I personally like the most.

The third has a color cast.

On the fourth I can feel the nice breeze, it must defiantly be a nice experience to have a walk there.

This comments are just my personal thoughts and I hope you take them not to serious!

It's morning and it rains , the weather is bad and a little mist appears, the sea is rough

Lovely location and pictures, Henry.

Karl thank you for leaving a comment

Sometimes I wonder if the photo captures the reality of things ....

For example how the image can render it such that fog that appears with bad weather and rain ..... very difficult, only the eye can see

for Peter another photo without the rock in foreground , but still in bad weather.

This photo was taken before the tide rises

Nice shot of the cliff path, I thought about going up there, but by the time I'd walked around the stones taking photographs the light was going and a little bar in the town was calling - 'Time for a beer!' so we went for a beer - well! why not!:D

Tony, many memories of this region of Normandy, especially with the Allied landings during World War II, which is a few kilometers from Etretat

Thanks for looking and comments.

Best regards

Henry
