dan_drabek Posted June 17, 2007 Share #2 Posted June 17, 2007 Nice work Andy. I think this is one of the best of your wasdale series. Was this with the M8? DD
andybarton Posted June 17, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted June 17, 2007 Thanks Dan. I don't actually have an M8 and this was with the DMR. It's 6 shots, stitched in two rows of three. Looks terrific at full size

dan_drabek Posted June 18, 2007 Share #7 Posted June 18, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Well, you obviously have the stitching down pat. I'm impressed and I do a lot of stitching. I can imagine what it looks like at full res. You could cover a wall of your living room. DD

stumac Posted June 18, 2007 Share #10 Posted June 18, 2007 Supurb work Andy! Unfortunatly my engineers eye is drawn to the curvature of the water horizon, if this could be straightened it would be perfect. Regards, Stuart
zanydave Posted June 18, 2007 Share #11 Posted June 18, 2007 Very impressive I must say. Gonna have to try that stitching lark if only someone would show me how. Dave

andybarton Posted June 20, 2007 Author Share #13 Posted June 20, 2007 Supurb work Andy! Unfortunatly my engineers eye is drawn to the curvature of the water horizon, if this could be straightened it would be perfect. Regards, Stuart Thanks The "curvature" is actually perspective, with the screes on the right running towards the head of the lake. Have a look at what Carsten has done over here, to see some "out there" panoramas... http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-m8-forum/27196-36-shot-portrait-panorama.html#post285977
stumac Posted June 20, 2007 Share #14 Posted June 20, 2007 Thank you Andy, I now have a better understanding after looking at Carsten' post. I have only tried simple two to five image linear stiches with a simple program that I think came with a camera. Regards, Stuart

andybarton Posted August 7, 2007 Author Share #19 Posted August 7, 2007 Thanks, guys. I have stood on the top of the one in the middle, but don't think I can get any of my fellow Leicanistas up there this Autumn. Here's the view looking towards the water and the place where the above shot was taken (half way down on the right hand side) This shot really encompasses "me", and what I love doing. Strolling in the mountains, and taking pictures while I am up there. Is there anything better in life? Welcome, dear visitor! huwge Posted August 7, 2007 Share #20 Posted August 7, 2007 looks like we will be going to this neck of the woods next year - my missus thought this must be in the Alps. She still can't believe the scenery on offer in the British Isles. I still can't believe the scenery on our doorstep in Munich. Nice stitching and nice pictures.
