martinvath Posted May 21, 2009 Share #1 Posted May 21, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) After reading Andy Pipers D2 review, I just tried his workaround for iso 400. It works perfectly, grainy pictures but quite filmlike I think. No watercolor effekt from NR:-) Sample 1: Jpg iso 100, underexposed 2 stops, autolevels in LR, +25 color NR. Nothing else. Sample 2: Raw iso 400, underexposed 1 stops, autolevels in LR, +25 color NR. Nothing else. Sample 3: Raw iso 400, underexposed 2 stops, autolevels in LR, +25 color NR. Nothing else. This one looks horrible, so I tried auto bw conversion in Elements 7, +10 contrast/brightness. In camera settings on all: Contrast low, sharpnes normal, saturation low. This camera is just a splendid little hack, now my Canon DSLR is collecting dust;o) Kind regards Martin
Advertisement Posted May 21, 2009 Posted May 21, 2009 Hi martinvath, Take a look here D2 400/1600 iso. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted May 21, 2009 Share #2 Posted May 21, 2009 Martin - thank you for this. Just for fun I captured #3, reduced noise in ACDSee (it came with my D2 5 years ago) and then sharpened. BTW: What does LR stand for in your instructions above?
brucek Posted May 21, 2009 Share #3 Posted May 21, 2009 Martin - BTW: What does LR stand for in your instructions above? I'd be willing to bet Lightroom. Bruce
