Hello all,

First off, thanks in advance to anyone who may be of help.

I am a long time user of Leica's-M4-P's primarily, and yesterday, became the proud owner

of a beautiful Leica Focomat V35 Autofocus enlarger. It is incredible.

Well, it came with the special Leica Focometer 2 timer system...and I am a little baffled as to the units operation...in particular, the hooking up of the two special cords in the rear...?

The unit does power up, but the enlarger will not come on via the Focometer 2, only when using another timer system...the Focometer does power up too.

This unit is in mint condition, so I'm sure it's user error-unfortunately, I have no instructions for the timer system.

Any help out there?

Thanks again,

Jason

Hi Jason,

welcome to the Leica Forum!

I do have and use a Leica Focomat V35 too.

If you call Leica, they still should have a manual in english for you.

One thing every V35 user has to look at is the splitgrade system from

heiland electronic: Heiland electronic GmbH, Wetzlar / Germany

It automates the printing process though not being cheap.

The Schneider Apo-Componon 2,8/40mm lens is far better than

the original Leitz Focotar WA 40mm lens. Rare and also rather expensive.

Kienzle Fototechnik in Germany sells an improved lightning box for

the Leica V35: http://www.kienzle-phototechnik.de/home_english/home_english.html

Best Regards from Germany,

Moritz
