stuny Posted July 30, 2014 Share #1 Posted July 30, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) The whitney Museum is doing a retrospective of jeff Koons work, and it will run until sometime in October. It's a stunning show, and it's all the more impressive as one reads of how Koons created the artwork. You can see about 30 pieces (of more than 100 in the show) beginning on this page: Barbara & Stu's Excellent Vacations Based on his childhood hobby horse and his son's dinosaur Welcome, dear visitor! pauledell Posted July 31, 2014 Share #2 Posted July 31, 2014 Stuart, A great series. Tell me how I can get the balloon dog (No.3). I'd like to put that in my back yard to play with my three dogs. Paul
stuny Posted July 31, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted July 31, 2014 (edited) Ali & Gerhard - Thank you. Paul - Thank you. It shouldn't be too difficult: Just go to the next auction of art that includes a copy of this peice, bid incredibly high to just beat the other bidders, and then arrange transport home. You'll probably need a solid foundation for it since it's made of stainless steel. Last November an orange version of htis piece sold at Sotheby's for US$58.4 million, beating the expected bid of US$55 million.
