fishblimp Posted November 22, 2009 Share #1  Posted November 22, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Last night I took about 10 to 15 shots and even reviewed them on my LCD screen. Today when I went to download them to my computer, the image files weren't there.  I'm guessing one of two things happened: 1. The images I saw on the LCD were only saved into the built-in camera memory and NOT onto the card.  or  2. They're on the SD card but somehow hidden? I know that there's a program that allows you to find hidden (or previously deleted) images/files from flash media cards. I forget the name of it at the moment, however. Advertisement Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Hi fishblimp, Take a look here images apparently not recorded to SD card?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
cgthanos Posted November 22, 2009 Share #2 Â Posted November 22, 2009 Same exact thing happened to me yesterday. In my case, I was able to get the images by switching the camera's USB mode to mass storage, then manually transferring the images. 2 out of those 10 were unable to load due to a file error, but luckily I didn't need those. Hopefully this will work for you. Â I love this camera, but I have to admit that I'm getting a little annoyed with these kinds of issues (timer release exposure bracketing is also freezing up the camera). Good luck! fishblimp Posted November 22, 2009 Author Share #3 Â Posted November 22, 2009 thanks! yeah, my only issue has been with file-related things like this (and/or writing and/or SD card type of issues). Â So what do you mean switch to mass storage...where is that setting? I'm on a Mac.
jaapv Posted November 22, 2009 Share #4 Â Posted November 22, 2009 Have a look at rescue pro. There is no built-in camera memory -just a buffer and it holds about 7 to 8 images. So if you had 15 it must be an SD card error. Or was it write-protected?
Guest WPalank Posted November 22, 2009 Share #5 Â Posted November 22, 2009 Fishblimp, Â Did you try to download directly form the camera or did you use a card reader?
fishblimp Posted November 22, 2009 Author Share #6 Â Posted November 22, 2009 From a card reader. Also, I put the card back in camera but images weren't viewable there either though older images were.

The SD card reader will not work for SDHC cards. Â I thought I had ordered a SD card and was sent an SDHC card instead. I found that none of my card readers would upload and that's how I diagnosed the problem. Â Then I went to a well known camera store and asked for a SDHC card reader and the guy told me they were all the same. He was wrong and I went somewhere else!
