Thought some might be interested in this - shot with the Digilux 1. It's in lovely condition and is working well still. It compliments my M8 nicely.

Nice piece Graeme,

Is it a standardised one ? looks like one as I think there is an O engraved just behind the infinity lock.

As it wears a square accessories shoe, it must be a lately one.

Mine wears a rounded one.

Hoping that no one will says it is a fake one due to the white engraving fill ...

Beautiful camera, case, rangefinder, and (I take it) the tube for the rangefinder! Wonderful! Very seductive.

I keep trying to save up for something digital, but these old things have so much more appeal.

That said, I'm writing this sitting on a train where 90 percent of the passengers -- me included, obviously -- in this carriage are peering into laptops doing this and that! Too sad, really.

Graeme,

Very nice camera but the lens looks a bit odd or is it because your photo was taken with the lens not fully screwed in.

Elmars have 11 o'clock (early type) or 7 o'clock (later) infinity positions but your lens seems to have its infinity position at 1 o'clock.

Graeme,

Just a thought but if you find that the lens is fully screwed in and the infinity position is still at 1 o'clock it seems that the lens flange on the camera has been taken off at some time and replaced in the wrong position. The lens flange needs to be unscrewed and replaced one position back anti-clockwise.This will put the infinity position back to the correct 11 o'clock position on the camera.
