JBonner Posted June 12, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted June 12, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have a Leicaflex SL of which I am rather fond. I also have a Digilux 3 which, with adapter and x2 crop, can use the SL's lenses (the 90mm f2 summicron is stunning on the D3) A simple question: I am inclined to buy some more lenses for the the SL - will any "R" lenses fit? I'm sure I used to know the answer to this... Â Thank you in advance
Advertisement Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Hi JBonner, Take a look here Leicaflex SL lenses. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
steed Posted June 12, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted June 12, 2007 Let's hear it for the SL! I think that the R cam has no counterpart in the SL, and that there are none of the other cams required by the body. Thus, I don't think that you can use the R lenses. Good luck John W
ejd Posted June 12, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted June 12, 2007 you need a two cam or three cam lens to work with the metering on the SL. Third cam lenses (which have only the R-cam and lack cams one and two) will not give the metering properly. With these you would have to use stopped-down metering. ROM lenses will not fit on an SL, I think.
