Help identify a case

ETGUS? (So from the Leica Wiki, though I recall there was an earlier forum discussion in which a mistake was suspected).

I bought one last year, but had to return it. It was in poor condition (and also would not fit the taller IIIg).

All best.

Hi everyone

What is this case called? I've seen similar ones called "outfit" cases but they have had different interiors.

Were these custom-made to fit certain outfits/sets of equipment?

Cheers and thanks in advance

Philip

I confirm that the illustrated case is an ETGUS for Leica (II to IIIb), 5 lenses, VIDOM, frame finder, filters, cassettes. The slightly higher Leica IIIg and outfit could be arranged in the much rarer EBKOO dating from 1958.

Thanks very much for your replies, I appreciate your help a lot.

I looked in the Wiki but the ETGUS there has an second lens strap in the middle.

The filter pockets on the left side are also different

The top-right-hand corner pocket for the FIKUS is also different. The Wiki's ETGUS has a double filter pocket there whereas my case has a longer pocket, similar to (though shorter than) the SOOPD pocket.

Could these cases be changed after purchase by Leica?

Here is a better image perhaps.
