Meredith Posted February 26, 2011 Share #1 Posted February 26, 2011 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have been doing an inventory of the LTM items I inherited from my father, who bought his first Leica in 1935, and have had little difficulty, thanks to some old Leica catalogs and the Internet. This push-on lens hood probably belongs with the Elmar collapsible 50mm f/3.5. As you probably know, most of the Leica five-character codes refer to a unique item, but this lens hood seems to be one of very many different lens hoods named FISON. I have found many similar ones, but not one that is exactly the same. Can anyone help me identify it?

luigi bertolotti Posted February 26, 2011 Share #2 Posted February 26, 2011 FISON had lot of variants... Lager displays one (Vol. II, pag. 32) that is ALMOST identical to yours: black - no clamp screw - 2 diameters tube... but the engraving lacks the word "Germany" . The clamping screw ought to be introduced just in 1935.
