Based on the Visoflex I, the Micro-Visoflex I is coded IFLEX and fitted with a revolving disc with two different screens : plain and ground glass, it also has a slightly different magnifier, and no accessory shoe nor strap eyelets..

The Micro-Visoflex III has also interchangeable screens, but they are slid into rails like a "drawer"; its special focusing magnifier has a fat eyepiece.

Sorry, but I forgot to mention that IFLEX could be transformed by Leitz from a normal Visoflex I, in which case it displayed both the accessory shoe and the strap eyelets...and that's clearly the case of the one illustrated from the Fontenelle Collection.

Sorry to dig up an old thread,

I've just received a Visoflex I- which appears to have been Iflex modified- in that I have the rotating focussing screens, but have eyelets and an accessory shoe as well.

Despite my reading- I can't find what the differences in use between the 2 are- ie can I use it just as I would a regular visoflex?

Second question- the Leica bellows I picked up is missing the central screw which attaches it to the Viso body- any idea where I can pick one up?

Thanks

Remi

As far as I understand your description, your "modified" Viso I is exactly the same as the IFLEX I illustrated : mine also has accessory shoe and eyelets. You can definitely use it as a "regular" Viso I.

Now the screw for your bellows : I believe I have one somewhere, and if and when I discover it, it will be my pleasure to offer it to you.

Thanks for the tips guys,

I was trying to determine what makes the micro-visoflex different to the regular visoflex, ie is it just the rotating focussing screen but otherwise exactly the same? I presume that doesn't affect the magnification of the picture etc

What is the purpose of the interchangeable screens?

Thanks also for the tripod screw if it shows up!

The 2 screens are for different light incoming through the lenses used with a bellows or reproduction device.

Try to contact Don Goldberg

He has a lot of spare pieces @ DAG Camera Parts and not showed on his web site.
