Pecole Posted July 3, 2010 Share #1 Posted July 3, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Far from me the idea to compete with jean-Claude Braconi's "Littles" : my collection, started more than 50 years ago and sold in the mid-90s, never reached the same quality level. But I made some lucky discoveries in these "easier" (and cheaper) times, and pixes from my archives may interest those of you who suffer some level of "acute nostaleicalithe". Hence my intention to regulalrly submit threads based on my discoveries in the 4000+ prints (mostly B&W due to their age) filed in my archives. To start with, here are two photos of Leica Ig nº 924534. It is special in that it lacks both slow speeds and flash socket, but contrary to the so-called "Siemens variant", it has both accessory shoes and strap lugs. One will remember that the 68 "Siemens" produced in 1959 were serialled 924590-924623 and 925021-925054 and had the space normally occupied by the accessory shoes covered by a screwed plate. Mine also displays the special "extended" wind-on knob observed on the "Siemens" ones. Finally, it is similar to the one described by Rüttinger in VIDOM and told to have been made on special order for use on the Reprovit IIa. But "my" serial is lower than the "Siemens" ones, and the only one reported as "Reprovit" (nº 925447) is higher. So what ? Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
