Bigfeet Posted April 6, 2009 Share #1 Posted April 6, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Greetings All, Could someone give me an idea as to what may be wrong with my camera? These images are from using several different lenses as well as rolls of film. It seems that light is intruding on both the left and right sides. It does show up on the negatives very clearly. It also only seems to show up during daylight. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks! Bigfeet

Michael Hiles Posted April 7, 2009 Share #5 Posted April 7, 2009 I once had a similar problem in my M2. The shape was different, and it was (apparently) intermittant. Like your problem, the leak occurred always in the same place, and overlapped two frames. It turned out to be a light leak around the small rewind lever on the front of the camera. Gerry Smith at Kindermann in Toronto found and fixed the problem (BTW - he is terrific).

acanalda Posted April 7, 2009 Share #7 Posted April 7, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi Have you tried to put the camera in front of a strong light with the back door open ? Don't forget to fire the shutter and also re-cock it to check possible light leaks in the curtains Regards, Arturo
