Mark Antony Posted January 12, 2008 Share #4 Posted January 12, 2008 Yes, It's good that they still take film seriously the November T-Max announcement and now the new Portra, I think now is a good time to be a Photographer –lots of choice. christer Posted January 12, 2008 Share #5 Posted January 12, 2008 News Release That announcement was made three months ago, and nobody has been able to buy this film yet. Kodak should do like Apple does with regards to computers; announce when available everywhere.

earleygallery Posted January 12, 2008 Share #8 Posted January 12, 2008 They had 3 for 2 on today. The B&W films (they had the Kodak as well), were all £4.99 and Kodachrome was £10.99 (but I could only see two rolls of that). I've got 33 rolls of one of my favourite colour neg films on the way from Germany, bought off e bay for about a 40 pence a roll.

My local branch are asking about £11. 7-Day Shop price is currently £5.99. Cheers, Ken. As above, £10.99 which works out at £7.33 a roll if you buy 3 for 2. Not bad considering that's including the processing. I used to shoot Kodachrome 100% for colour. I really must try it again. I'm going near another Boots tomorrow, will see if they have 3 rolls! 7day shop is worth it if buying enough to cover the cost of postage. £5.99 a roll is a bargain! stunsworth Posted January 13, 2008 Share #13 Posted January 13, 2008 As a matter of interest, what price were Boots charging for the Kodachrome? A year of two ago a local Boots was selling off all their film very cheaply to clear the stock. I bought half a dozen rolls of Kodachrome 64 for 99p a roll, obviously this is including processing. The rolls have sat in the Freezer since. I really must get round to using it sometime <grin>. The also had some non-processed paid Velvia at the same price. That's sat in the freezer too. rubenkok Posted January 14, 2008 Share #16 Posted January 14, 2008 News Release Ha Joop, Great news, it was even in the LFI International and http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/film-forum/40701-new-t-max-400-film.html All the best Ruben
robsteve Posted January 17, 2008 Share #17 Posted January 17, 2008 Is the new TMY actually available yet, or is the old stock still working its way through the chain? I went searching for it today. The big Canadian photo retailer Vistek said they don't expect it until late February. They are waiting to sell off the existing stock. Kodak provided them some free samples of the new Tmax 400, and she offered to ship me a few as long as I paid the shipping. If you have a large retailer in your country, you may want to try calling them to see if they have some samples from Kodak. You could also try calling Kodak in your country. They may just mail you some. I think they did this when the new E100G slide films were introduced. Robert
