Ivar B Posted March 11, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 11, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I received a copy of Doug`s book today. I am sure many are familiar with his beautiful nature photography and love of Leicaflex and Telyt 400/560 from http://www.wildlightphoto.com/ The book is beautiful and can heartily be recommended to anyone interested in nature photography,
Advertisement Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Hi Ivar B, Take a look here Doiglas Herr: Wild Light 1971 - 2007. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
TimF Posted March 11, 2009 Share #2 Posted March 11, 2009 I've studied Doug's book a few times on Blurb, and am very tempted by it. However, it'll need to hang on as I'm still waiting for an overdue book from them - must have got lost in the post I reckon, but we're giving it six days more. wattsy Posted March 12, 2009 Share #5 Posted March 12, 2009 Damn! Don't DO that! The title made me think this was an obituary! Yes, for a terrible moment I thought Doug had snuffed it.
stuny Posted March 12, 2009 Share #6 Posted March 12, 2009 I initially thought it was an obit until I noitced the 2007 date. Doug and I have emailed one another in 2008 and he visited a friend who saves injured raptors in 2008, too. However, the title still was a shock. larry Posted March 12, 2009 Share #9 Posted March 12, 2009 The thread's title almost made my heart stop, and that would have been ironic. I'll have to check out Doug's book. Larry

razerx Posted March 13, 2009 Share #14 Posted March 13, 2009 Likewise, it caught me out at first too! Me too. I am glad Doug is OK. He is a very talented photographer and I am sure has helped Leica sell lots of long lenses
