MachineGun Posted August 7, 2010 Share #1 Posted August 7, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi I am interested in a Leica SF 24D Flash for my M3. As it does not have TTL for the flash, I would have to use a sync cord but I am not sure the flash has a sync cord connector as I cant find a manual for it to download. Can someone please tell me if the Leica SF 24D Flash has a sync cord connector? Is the cord included? Thanks MachineGun

Xmas Posted August 7, 2010 Share #3 Posted August 7, 2010 Hi You can get a adapter to slide into the M3 'shoe' which has a cable to plug into the M3 electronic flash socket. The flash unit slides in to the shoe of the adapter, so that the M3 looks like a normal hot shoe camera. Not seen one of these for a while. The cable won't plug into the M3 socket directly you will need a M3 to PC adapter, typically 10 GBP. Readily available on Web or camera fairs. tobey bilek Posted August 8, 2010 Share #4 Posted August 8, 2010 Or change out the terminals on the body to moder style. While not as good, you can get chords for them and not have an adapter sticking out.

jcrutcher Posted August 11, 2010 Share #7 Posted August 11, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just received both the adapter for the hot sync and the adapter to convert the PC connection to the M3. It works great. Set you're Leica 24 flash to automatic, set ISO and aperture, shutter speed to Flash symbol and poof! It works very well. ROWI #924 is the brand and part # for the Pc to M3 connection. Good luck!
