ezc203 Posted March 29, 2010 Share #1 Posted March 29, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) Have always wanted to get a Luigi Half-Case and matching neck strap. Can anyone recommend the best way to go about purchasing one? His website (leicatime.com) is a mess, and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to "place an order". I've emailed him twice, but no reply. But I do suppose he's very busy with all the new M9 purchases and the influx of demand for his stellar cases. So let's return to my original question. Can someone with experience dealing with Luigi offer some advice? Suggestions? Comments? Any and all responses are much much appreciated. Thanking you all in advance. Sincerely,

Box Brownie Posted March 29, 2010 Share #2 Posted March 29, 2010 Luigi seems to have a very active ebay page. And he appears to reply to peoples messages, so maybe that will help? spydrxx Posted March 29, 2010 Share #3 Posted March 29, 2010 I've never had a problem with his website (only a couple of purchases over the years). Have you tried a direct link thru Ebay?
digger1914 Posted March 29, 2010 Share #4 Posted March 29, 2010 I had no problem at all ordering (about 12 months ago). Just sent him an email with what I wanted and got a reply withinh 6 hours. I agreethat the site is different, but he will ask for for details to confirm your order
tdtaylor Posted March 29, 2010 Share #5 Posted March 29, 2010 LAst year he was very responsive. This year, for a number of reasons, many have found him not a s responsive. I just ordered a number of items, but it took man=y emails and 2 and a half months to get a reply. I can only recommend patience.
ezc203 Posted March 29, 2010 Author Share #6 Posted March 29, 2010 I have always tried to avoid using eBay, but I suppose, in this case, it seems like a necessity? If there is no way around it, I suppose eBay would be the way to go....
a.j.z Posted March 29, 2010 Share #7 Posted March 29, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) His shop appears to be a one man show. Just try a mailing a second time (in my case this worked). If you are mailing from a freemail account you may end up in his spam filter. Patience is a good recommendation in any case
ezc203 Posted March 29, 2010 Author Share #8 Posted March 29, 2010 I will email him everyday starting from today (March 29th), until I receive my Luigi Half Case in my hands... That's my plan.
ezc203 Posted March 30, 2010 Author Share #9 Posted March 30, 2010 Can anyone give me a confirmation on Luigi's email? I've been sending them to "webmaster@leicatime.com". Just checking if that is the right email? Thanks.
Guido Posted March 30, 2010 Share #10 Posted March 30, 2010 If nothing else helps, there is (at least) one very good competitor in the Far East with excellent customer service, fast response and delivery.
plasticman Posted March 30, 2010 Share #11 Posted March 30, 2010 I ordered from him last year with no problems. No reply to mails with a follow-up order this month however. I think he's overwhelmed at the moment. And I agree that someone needs to organize the website - totally chaotic.
ezc203 Posted March 30, 2010 Author Share #12 Posted March 30, 2010 nightfire - Are you suggesting Artisan and Artist*? I do like their straps and have one, but their case design does not suit my fancies. plasticman - I expected as much. Guess I'll just have to keep trying. And yes, can someone volunteer to help Luigi design/program a new website?
tdtaylor Posted March 30, 2010 Share #13 Posted March 30, 2010 Can anyone give me a confirmation on Luigi's email? I've been sending them to "webmaster@leicatime.com". Just checking if that is the right email? Thanks. Correct email address. My wife and I actually find the website entertaining from a perverse perspective. Unique, you have to say that. ezc203 Posted March 30, 2010 Author Share #14 Posted March 30, 2010 Haha, I suppose I can relate to that. I get that incredible feeling of success when I actually understand something from it.
Brent1965 Posted March 31, 2010 Share #15 Posted March 31, 2010 I've had three transactions, all drama-free. All the way to New Zealand! Email him at the webmaster address, tell him exactly what you want, what colour etc. Tell him to include fedex freight. He'll reply next day with amount to put into his paypal. Include a very clear reference with your deposit. Ask him to address your parcel clearly. You'll recieve item less than a week later. Do not even consider any other freight system - italian airmail is even crazier than his hilarious website. I suspect as a small scale businessman he's over-run with enquiries- but sorts actual purcasers from the tire-kickers pretty efficently.
ezc203 Posted March 31, 2010 Author Share #16 Posted March 31, 2010 Thanks for the advice Brent. Emailed him again following your exact guidelines. Hopefully I'll get a reply soon. Fingers crossed!!

wilfredo Posted April 3, 2010 Share #18 Posted April 3, 2010 I got mine through E-bay and thinking of getting one for my D2. Luigi has an excellent reputation.
plasticman Posted April 5, 2010 Share #19 Posted April 5, 2010 I suspect as a small scale businessman he's over-run with enquiries- but sorts actual purcasers from the tire-kickers pretty efficently. Hmmmm - I've been trying to make a follow-up order to one I made last year (for the deluxe kit) and not getting any answers. So I'm not so sure how good his sorting actually is.
