hodohodo Posted October 12, 2009 Share #1 Posted October 12, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi there. I think everybody knows that LCD have not been changed from M8,8.2 But I feel like the M9 LCD is more contrasty and has low DR than M8,8.2. Especially for dark area, when I see the dark area, it looks like there's no exposed data at all. (Yes but no sign for underexposed clipping. If I see it in my monitor, it's fine) I guess kind of factory setting (brightness, contrast) may changed from M8,8.2 Do you guys feel it's same from M8,8.2? And one more thing- Right side of my LCD is just looks like this. I can see the backlight. (in the white circle) Is all M9's LCD like mine? or mine is just kind of miss assembled? jonoslack Posted October 12, 2009 Share #2 Posted October 12, 2009 Hi there. I think everybody knows that LCD have not been changed from M8,8.2 I understood that it had been changed (still same size and no of pixels though). I think that the colour is considerably better on the M9 LCD - especially outdoors, where the M8 had a tendency to a cyan cast (both of mine were like this). As for the light - I can see what you can see, but moving it around suggests that it's something reflecting the light rather than the backlight?
