Advertisement Posted October 12, 2009 Posted October 12, 2009 Hi mborkowski14, Take a look here Meow. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pauledell Posted October 12, 2009 Share #2 Posted October 12, 2009 Matt, A great cat shot. nice composition. Perhaps a little cropping of the left of the picture to include more cat and less background. Just an idea. Paul
wda Posted October 13, 2009 Share #3 Posted October 13, 2009 Matt, you have caught a nice alert expression of your cat in a natural location. I do quite a lot of cat photography so see your picture as the first in a sequence with the next two pictures taken with a longer lens. Do you have one? I find a 75mm excellent for isolating a subject and giving a slightly longer subject to camera distance. It is thus less tempting or threatening to the animal concerned. mborkowski14 Posted October 14, 2009 Author Share #5 Posted October 14, 2009 Thanks for all of the feedback guys! I especially love the cartoon bubbles! WDA, I'm really considering getting a 75mm Summicron at some point next year. I ordered a 50mm that's on back order right now, so hopefully that will get a little closer to that type of shot. Thanks again everybody!!

Thanks again everybody!! Matt, don't rule out the Summarit 75mm unless the extra 2/3 stop is important for you. There are many very satisfied users on the forum.
