dspeltz Posted October 11, 2009 Share #21 Posted October 11, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) When I press the preview button, I do not get the picture I just took. It is one taken several shots before. I expected that when I hit the button, it would start with last in first out but instead, appears to be random. Anyone else have this problem (and perhaps corrected it?) David
Advertisement Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Hi dspeltz, Take a look here M9 problem. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Shootist Posted October 11, 2009 Share #22 Posted October 11, 2009 Don't have a M9 but with the M8 you have to wait until the red light on the back of the camera (The light that blinks while the card is being written to) stops blinking. That tells you the image you just took, or the last image in a series of images, is now completely written to the card. At that point you should see the last shot taken on the screen when hitting the Play button. If you don't wait for the light to stop blinking you will get the last image that is completley written to the card. If you are using JPG or DNG+JPG that can take a longer time then using just DNG as the file format and in the case of using DNG+JPG it takes an inordinate amount of time to first finish processing the JPG image and to finish writing both files to the card. alexc Posted October 11, 2009 Author Share #23 Posted October 11, 2009 Glad you solved it. Note, however, that it is NOT advisable to switch SD cards between different camera types without formatting the card either in the computer or the camera you are going to use it in. It can crash a camera. I never do this. It was just this time when I tried to resolve the issue.
