What bothers me is the repetition of the lopsided 7-sided diaphragm image. pgk, do you get diaphragm reflections from back-scatter? The illumination here would have been almost parallel to the filter, right? I'm still curious what lens was used for the first shot. Yes, very out-of-focus but intensely lit particles often image as diapraghm shaped flare 'ghosts' and because they may be distributed throughout the image, they can occur anywhere. They show up mostly on darker areas within the image (which is what you would expect) Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
