DTD Posted November 24, 2006 Share #1 Posted November 24, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) I need to wear glasses when taking photos. I'll get an eyesight correction lens for my M6 after my next eye test. I have an Olympus E-1 dSLR which has built in adjustable eyesight correction. Is there any technical reason Leica hasn't added this to its M series cameras?

elansprint72 Posted November 25, 2006 Share #6 Posted November 25, 2006 D2 and V-Lux 1 both have dioptre-correction wheel built in, oops, I was forgetting that the M-series was designed before the invention of the spectacle.
gberger Posted November 25, 2006 Share #7 Posted November 25, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi - If you plan to get a diopter corrdctive lens for your M, go to: Leica FAQ - M eyepeice correction lenses - how to estimate? for a discussion of how to determine the corrdction you'll need. I wear glasses; however, I have a diopter corrective lens installed, and I can compose without wearing them. Helps

No, you forgot that D2 and V-Lux 1 have a viewfinder and the M-series has a rangefinder. Take a look and find some spare room left for built-in eyesight correction...
