fishblimp Posted October 2, 2009 Share #1 Posted October 2, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi. I've never really used the bracketing and bracketing setup option of my camera before but had a question: if i enable this feature ("Exp. bracketing" in the "Set" menu is "On") and then take a photo, will i HEAR the shutter click 3 times? Or do the additional two exposures get written to the card silently? I'm asking because I tested it out and didn't hear 3 exposures, nor did I find 3 images on the SD card (only saw the one). Frustrating because this seems like an obvious thing to me but for some reason it's not.

Yes, but only in A mode on the speed dial. Lucien
dpattinson Posted October 2, 2009 Share #3 Posted October 2, 2009 It's a pity that it doesn't default to ISO bracketing when the shutter speed has been manually set. That might be rather interesting.
lars_bergquist Posted October 2, 2009 Share #4 Posted October 2, 2009 In manual you bracket manually -- just turn the aperture ring a little this way, then that way, while checking the exposure LED readout. This will tell you when you are 1/2 stop above or below. I used to do that when I was shooting Kodachrome on a pro mission where retakes would be impossible, like travelling in exotic places.
