Hope the day went well..... look forward to seeing the results. :)

I'm not sure there'll be much to show - at least from me. It followed the usual pattern where we spent more time chatting, drinking coffee and eating than actually taking photographs.

Still, it was highly enjoyable to meet Ian and Phil who had been on Brett and Rolo's course at Stephens on Saturday, and finally get to meet Brian Bower who hadn't been able to attend any of the NW get togethers in the past.

Well I shot over 200 images on the Sunday though maybe 25 of those were first thing before we all met up. It was a great weekend, nice to put faces to names and I got some shots in places I wouldn't have been if I was on my own. On the Sunday 'in town' I just shot with the 75 cron AA that I picked up the day before from Stephens. It's going to take some practice to get focus spot on every time with it but then on Saturday Brett remarked it only took him 2 years to get it right - so that's 729 more days to go then!

A big thanks to Brian and Steve from the forum and to Phil from the workshop - he might be joining us here soon. Can't wait for the next one.

Ian,

The secret of these Northern gatherings is to get there early and bag all your good shots; you'll get nothing of value once the rest arrive and start on the food and drink!

Glad that you guys had a good time; only wish that I had left the Lakes on Saturday night before the rain arrived. :(
