grober Posted November 21, 2006 Share #1 Posted November 21, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Some days ago I had left the Leica marketing department in New Jersey a voicemail indicating my general dissatisfaction with the current state of the M8 rollout. (I bought one in the first wave of USA deliveries.) I just received a return call from a young woman in New Jersey acknowledging their receipt of my call. I'm encouraged by this since most voicemails these days, left to any business, get completely ignored. Hey, they're trying at least! Naturally I asked her when the Leica corrective action plan was going to be announced. Without committing, she referred me back to Stephan's earlier announcement of 10 November and strongly suggested that Leica's plan would be published no later than this Friday. I asked further if M8 shipments to the USA had been stopped pending the publication of the corrective action plan. Her simple answer, "Yes." So let's all enjoy Thanksgiivng Day here in the Colonies and sit tight until Friday. Please don't forget our Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen (and women!), Coast Guardsmen and all Marines in harm's way at many foreign locations these days as we and our families gallop into the 2006 holiday season.
