Backfocus wide-open, focus-shift between f/2 and f/4... it is a nightmare. Â If your lens backfocuses wide open, that's a matter of adjustment and calibration rather than focus shift. AND, if it backfocuses wide open, it will make any focus shift your lens may have much worse. I would recommend getting your lens and M8 adjusted and you may have less of a nightmare. Â I think the key with this lens is that it has to be right on, or even a tad front-focusing, at F/1.4 and then the focus shift won't be nearly as much of an issue in practice.
