elansprint72 Posted September 19, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 19, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Looks like the new/old steam engine is going over the Ribbleshead viaduct on Sat 3rd and Sun 4th Oct. Anyone fancy a trip to shoot it? I would welcome suggestions for best vantage point.

andybarton Posted September 21, 2009 Share #5 Posted September 21, 2009 I am going to go to the same spot as I was at a couple of months ago, where I took this one Ribbleshead Viaduct Going to be a LOT of people with tripods there... Four opportunities, though. Maybe somewhere else along the line could be interesting too? Tornado Itinerary
elansprint72 Posted September 21, 2009 Author Share #6 Posted September 21, 2009 Going to be a LOT of people with tripods there... Do you think that there might just be too many people and cars to get a decent shot at the viaduct?
andybarton Posted October 2, 2009 Share #7 Posted October 2, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I will be going tomorrow. I reckon to be getting there at 10 at the latest (parking the car could be the biggest problem...). The train should be passing at around 11, if they stick to the itinerary, which they probably have to, given that there will be other traffic on the line. Will also decide whether to see it return from a different location later. Peter - you have my mobile number. Let me know if you're going.
