troyfreund Posted November 21, 2006 Share #1 Posted November 21, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey Folks, Looking for some group wisdom here. I was shooting some portraits today and thought that I might have some moire issues. So, to be safe, I turned the moire filter "on." When I switched the compression to RAW though, the moire-filter indicator went away. Why did that happen? Troy

troyfreund Posted November 21, 2006 Author Share #3 Posted November 21, 2006 Does Flexcolor or Capture have Moire filters built into their software? Is it a fairly easy process to go through? Troy

pascal_meheut Posted November 21, 2006 Share #5 Posted November 21, 2006 Have you been able to use the C1 moire plugin on 16 bits images ?
jrgeoffrion Posted November 21, 2006 Share #6 Posted November 21, 2006 Have you been able to use the C1 moire plugin on 16 bits images ? Only 8-bit. HOWEVER, you can copy the layer to a new document. Apply the moire plug-in to the area with the problem in the 8-bit domain in the new document. Select the area with the problem and copy back to the 16-bit original document. This way, only the moire area will be in 8-bit and the rest of the image will be in 16-bit.
