rknewcomb Posted September 14, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 14, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm an old Leica & film guy who is new to the M8.2 and this forum. Wondering if some of you smart people can help me understand something here. Will the 28mm Zeiss Biogon ZI when used on a M8.2 bring up the correct frameline for that lens field of view on that camera? That would be about the same as a 35mm on full frame FOV right? In the old days I would have just bought a 35 summicron and been done with it but I'm a little confused. Thanks for the help.
Advertisement Posted September 14, 2009 Posted September 14, 2009 Hi rknewcomb, Take a look here M8.2 & Zeiss 28 Biogon Frameline Question. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaay Posted September 14, 2009 Share #2 Posted September 14, 2009 The simple answer to your question is yes. If you use any 28 on the M8(.2) it will bring up the correct franelines for a 28 on a 1.33x cropped sensor. This will be very similar to the 35mm franelines on a film camera.
