tjv Posted September 12, 2009 Share #1 Posted September 12, 2009 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello. This may be a weird question, I don't know, but I'll ask it anyway. I'm wondering if there is any chance Leica, being the customer friendly bunch they are, would be able to modify the M9 frame lines for a fee. Many years ago a photographer friend of mine, while living in Berlin, had leica modify his M3s frame mask to indicate cropping lines for 4x5 ratio crops. I'm wanting to know if it would be possible to do this to the M9s 28mm, 35mm and 50mm masks (retaining the outter markings for 3x2 ratio) and get rid of the 135mm and 75mm lines completely. Anyone ever heard of other people getting something like this done? It's a bit of an odd request but I thought I'd ask regardless! Thanks.

Shootist Posted September 12, 2009 Share #2 Posted September 12, 2009 For a price anything is possible. But with what Leica has on it plate right now, with the M9/S2/X1, I doubt they would even consider it at any price.
tjv Posted September 12, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted September 12, 2009 That's what I suspect too. I'll email them and ask on Monday. For a price anything is possible. But with what Leica has on it plate right now, with the M9/S2/X1, I doubt they would even consider it at any price.
