ottocrat Posted April 11, 2010 Share #21 Posted April 11, 2010 Advertisement (gone after registration) This has happened to my M8.2 a few times (four or five times in the five months I've had it, four thousand shutter releases total). So far, the problem has always gone away after leaving it switched off for a couple of minutes (or swapping SD cards or swapping batteries). Reading through the thread, though, I'm wondering whether I should get it seen to while it's still under warranty.

rejean Posted April 24, 2010 Share #22 Posted April 24, 2010 Thanks you for your support I'm back India with a bunch of great lens and no camera body. My M8 is going to Germany to replace the circuit board; 900$ bill and 3 months delay. The repair should be under warranty for a year. I hope it will be back for my next trip to Canada in July. I upgraded the firmware to 2.004, to avoid freezing problems and the opposite happened. As you suggest, reasonable freezing should be viable, even though not acceptable, in my mind, for the price of Leica toys. But I was not able to reset the camera, it came completely dead. As I want to stay positive, I have to congratulate Leica marketing to be able to get an other 900$ for a M8 (with a faulty circuit board) already sold 5000$+, this is an achievement! Have nice shooting.
