Advertisement Posted September 11, 2009 Posted September 11, 2009 Hi geesbert, Take a look here voigtländer raelly wides on the m9. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stunsworth Posted September 11, 2009 Share #2 Posted September 11, 2009 From all reports the 15mm is dreadful with vignetting and colour drift towards te corners.
peter_n Posted September 11, 2009 Share #3 Posted September 11, 2009 If you look at Andy Piper's pix with the CV 15 it doesn't look that bad. The lens vignettes on an MP so I would expect it to vignette on an M9 too.
adan Posted September 11, 2009 Share #4 Posted September 11, 2009 For journalistic/documentary work, esp. in B&W but also color depending on the picture, I find the 15 acceptable. The resolution holds up nicely to the edges. For landscape/architecture/fine commercial work, it will require a lot of CornerFix (with additonal corner noise), and there is a much bigger gap between it and the WATE than there was on the M8. I'm keeping mine, and removing the WATE coding, since it just adds to the problems (makes the corners even redder without improving vignetting much). A cheap thrill for occasional use, and out of respect - it was the lens that "made" the M8 work for me.
sps Posted September 11, 2009 Share #5 Posted September 11, 2009 If anyone is in DC with an M9, I've a CV12mm that we could get together and mount up for some pics.
